Refs ruined a good game AGAIN

What the heck is going on, Italy awarded a PK with 30 sec to go in injury time on a very harsh call. If anything it should have been a free kick or a corner kick. That tackle was not that bad, and I am sick and tired of these players embellishing everything.

That game was headed to extra time, and the refs ruined it!!

Its like calling a weak penalty in hockey in game 7 of overtime.

lol, he missed the ball, and took out the player by sliding, it was a foul and in the box, the ref did a great job on the game (red card was VERY questionable)...

if that player doesn't slide, which for no reason did he need to the italian had no angle on the goal, there is no pk and we are still watching them possibly go to penalty kicks. think about things before you get all worked up with your emotions :cryingcry

Granted, you are right he did slide very early but he hardly made contact with the player until the player was trying to jump over him. All I am saying is that the player embellished being tackled in the box with another FIFA acting performance. He could have cleared him while jumping over instead of tripping.

Its just really frustrating to see a game end that way. That's all I am saying.

i myself apologize for my reaction, because i read this post right after i read that soccer *** post... i was pissed at the immaturity in the thoughts of that kid, so yeah i see your view too, but it had to be called i think. the aussie should not have slid, he didn't need to...

That was a borderline call at best..The Italian player was off balance and most likely going down...The minimal contact by the Aussie was not a pk...

The refs have been deciding to many games in this world cup...

Let the players earn it...There is so much diving and acting...

THese are the best players and also the best actors and divers in the world also...

You would think the refs would have a clue what is real or not after reffing for so many years, maybe they are rushing the refs, maybe they don't have enough experience... I don't know but the reffing in this world cup has been atrocious...

Unfortunately the refs at this years WC are the worst I've seen in a long time. I believe there has only been 1 yellow card handed out for diving.(what a joke).
I'm off to watch a REAL soccer match, my son's U-9 game.
